Dr. Keramida is the CEO and Chairman of KERAMIDA Inc. KERAMIDA, established in 1988, is a 60+ member full-service sustainability, remediation, environmental, health and safety, ISO Management Systems, energy, and training firm serving industries, businesses, cities, and governments worldwide. It is headquartered in Indianapolis. Its mission is to help its clients lead in technical excellence, fiscal responsibility and progressive green strategies.
KERAMIDA and Dr. Keramida are benefactors to the KERAMIDA Foundation for the Environment, Education and Arts, and to a unique Indianapolis museum, the Keramida Museum of Art, featuring World War II paintings, and Greek and Indiana landscapes by renowned Greek artist Alkis Keramidas, winner of the U.S. Marshall Plan Prize for Art. The museum houses over 70 paintings and is free and open to the public. Its space is regularly donated for art events and fundraisers.
Dr. Keramida holds B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Environmental Engineering from Purdue. She specializes in sustainability strategies, remediation, and waste and wastewater management. She is the author of textbooks, has published and presented over 200 papers, and lectures at universities. She has served as Board Member and Chairman of numerous industrial and civil organizations, and governmental commissions.
Dr. Keramida is a nationally recognized expert in her field and has served as an expert witness in many cases involving complex investigation/remediation issues, water quality and fish kills, and toxicology and the impacts of chemicals on human health. She holds a patent on the treatment of hazardous wastes and has received many awards for technical excellence and business leadership, including Purdue University's Civil Engineering Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award.
