American Foundry Society - Advanced Foundry Air Seminar

The objective of this seminar was to provide attendees with advanced practical knowledge, tools and techniques needed to address relatively complex air issues in the metalcasting facilities. It was aimed at individuals with a basic knowledge and understanding of EPA air regulations, including basic concepts learned at AFS's Foundry Environmental 101 Seminar. Specifically, attendees learned how to identify appropriate emission factors, how to perform air emission calculations, different air permitting programs and their applicability, other regulatory requirements including MACT standards and their applicability, how to obtain and interpret source testing results and other activities related to compliance demonstration. A discussion on upcoming Climate Change legislation and regulations was also included.
