American Foundry Society - AFS Advanced Foundry Air SeminarThis seminar was for individuals with a basic knowledge and understanding of EPA air regulations and air emission calculations. It built upon on this basic knowledge, with advanced practical knowledge, tools and techniques needed to address relatively complex air issues in metalcasting facilities.
Topics included: emission estimation, permitting, regulatory requirements and compliance demonstration. For each topic, classroom instruction followed in addition to a working group session where the class was divided into subgroups to complete a hypothetical air emission problem.
