KERAMIDA Announces Acquisition of
Heritage Environmental Services, LLC
KERAMIDA is pleased to announce the acquisition of the Environmental Engineering & Consulting division of Heritage Environmental Services, LLC. The sale took effect on June 28th, 2004, according to Dr. Vicky Keramida, President & CEO of KERAMIDA and Dr. Ken Price, President of Heritage Environmental Services.
"Today's sale strengthens the core capabilities of both Heritage and KERAMIDA," Keramida said.
"Heritage continues its focus on providing advanced solutions for industry's waste-management needs, while KERAMIDA adds to its top-notch engineering and consulting services," Price said.
The sale also represents an alliance between the companies.
"Wherever possible, Heritage will offer KERAMIDA's expertise to customers in need of environmental engineering, and health and safety services," Price added.
Seven employees will transfer from Heritage to KERAMIDA in Indianapolis. KERAMIDA is an environmental engineering, consulting, remediation, and health and safety services firm. Its 60 employees service customers worldwide from the company's offices in Indiana, Ohio, California, and Greece.
Heritage Environmental Services is the largest privately held environmental solutions company in North America, focusing on waste management, and employing more than 900 professionals. The company owns and operates a network of permitted and environmentally secure waste management facilities nationwide.
Heritage Environmental Services is a business unit of the Indianapolis-based Heritage Group. The group controls a portfolio of diverse industrial businesses.
