Dr. Perre Burns joins KERAMIDA as Director of Remediation Services
KERAMIDA welcomes Dr. Perre Burns, new Director of Remediation Services, with a reception on July 7, 2008 in the KERAMIDA Museum.
Dr. Burns comes to KERAMIDA with extensive experience in the design, construction management, and general project management of soil and groundwater remediation projects utilizing both traditional and innovative remediation technologies. His technical expertise includes: Soil Vapor Extraction, Air Sparge/Biosparge, Multi-Phase Extraction, In-Situ Chemical Oxidation, Risk Assessment, and Geochemistry.
Dr. Burns holds a B.S. in Biochemistry from Indiana University, and an M.S. in Civil Engineering and Ph.D. in Agronomy (Environmental Soil Chemistry) from Purdue University. He has provided expert testimony in multiple projects related to the fate and transport of contaminants in soil and groundwater, and has co-authored several publications including the book chapter "The Chemistry and Mineralogy of Coal and Coal Combustion Products" in Energy, Waste and the Environment: a Geochemical Perspective (2004).
