This Shadow Environmental Bar meeting will focus on the hiring of a private law firm to defend placing ash from the incinerator on the former site of City sludge lagoons. A local environmental group seeks to preserve these historic lagoons, using the rallying slogan “We’ll kick your ash clean out’a town!” The City’s former administrator of the Division of Water and Land Protection, Vicky Keramida, will donate her time to moderate the session and be on hand for questions. Her answers are always insightful and well thought out, and thus obviously not the official positions of either IDEM or the City of Indianapolis.
