Emilee O’Neill
Vice President, Livable Cities
Emilee O’Neill is the Vice President of Livable Cities Services at KERAMIDA, where she leads the firm’s work with local governments, school districts, and universities to design and implement actionable, people-centered climate and sustainability strategies. Through KERAMIDA’s Livable Cities team, she supports the development of holistic, place-based solutions rooted in science, equity, and community engagement—from planning through execution. Ms. O'Neill works in close partnership with the public sector to address the complex challenges of climate change and help build more resilient, thriving communities.
Ms. O'Neill brings extensive technical expertise in climate planning, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability strategy. Her portfolio includes community-driven Climate Action Plans, green school initiatives, ESG reporting, and implementation support. She co-developed KERAMIDA’s Climate Action Plan standard operating procedures and has led numerous high-impact projects, including work with the Lexington-Fayette six-county MSA and the Naperville 203 Community Unit School District. Ms. O’Neill also develops and facilitates capacity-building training programs for clients, with a focus on sustainability fundamentals, equitable planning practices, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
With a background in community organizing and environmental advocacy, Ms. O’Neill has built a career grounded in public service and civic engagement. Prior to joining KERAMIDA, she served as a Community Organizer with Green Corps, where she worked alongside Colorado state senators to help pass two climate bills into law and supported local implementation of the 30 by 30 executive order. She has engaged more than 750 community members and professionals through outreach, training, and education on sustainability, climate action, and equity. Ms. O’Neill holds a B.A.E.S.S. in Environmental Sustainability Studies from Indiana University, where she specialized in Sustainable Energy and Climate. She has also completed Cornell University’s Project Management Certificate Program and is ClimateView Certified. In 2024, she was honored with the International Green Mentor Award for her leadership and mentorship in the sustainability field.
