KERAMIDA is Presenting at the Indiana Sustainability and Resilience Conference!
KERAMIDA is thrilled to participate in the Indiana Sustainability and Resilience Conference (ISRC), a leading event hosted by the IU Environmental Resilience Institute that brings together Hoosier climate leaders to accelerate climate action and resilience efforts across Indiana.
The ISRC is a vital gathering for sustainability professionals, scholars, and climate advocates to share best practices, promote cross-sector collaboration, and enhance Indiana’s climate resilience network. By establishing these connections, the conference enables communities and organizations to create meaningful and impactful change.
Panel Discussion: Climate Action Planning and Implementation for Cities and Schools
Emilee O’Neill, GRI-Certified, Vice President of Reporting Services and Livable Cities at KERAMIDA, along with Amber Greaney, MPA, LEED GA, ENV SP, Vice President of Sustainability, will join panelists Kerry Korpela, Sustaining Fort Wayne Climate Action and Adaptation Plan Program Manager, and Chuck Freundt, Assistant Superintendent at Naperville 203 School District, to discuss “Climate Action Planning and Implementation for Cities and Schools.”
Panelists will explore how cities, schools, and communities can collaboratively develop and implement effective climate action plans. This session will delve into strategies for creating implementation roadmaps for Climate Action Plans, fostering stakeholder collaboration, and integrating public institutions such as schools into the planning process. Drawing on examples like Fort Wayne’s Climate Action and Adaptation Plan and the Naperville 203 School District’s sustainability efforts, the discussion will highlight the importance of public participation and actionable roadmaps. By leveraging innovative approaches, data-driven methods, and education-focused initiatives, this presentation will demonstrate how municipalities and schools can lead the way in achieving community-wide climate resilience and sustainability goals. Additionally, there will be an interactive climate action planning activity to help attendees understand how to overcome common barriers in developing and implementing a CAP that they won't want to miss.
Stay tuned for updates, and don’t miss this chance to gain valuable insights on driving climate action in your community!
