Presentations:
“New to EHS? EHS 101 … Health & Safety Regulations”
Health and safety programs are essential to prevent serious harm in the workplace. As facilities expand and change, regularly updating these programs is crucial for maintaining safety standards. Developing and maintaining an effective health and safety program, with a focus on subjects such as Lockout/Tagout procedures and other key topics, is essential.
Carson Brown, CSP, Senior Project Manager, Safety and Industrial Health Services, KERAMIDA Inc. and Andrew Tirmenstein, Health & Safety Manager, Yamaha Marine Precision Propellers, Inc.
“Sustainability Best Practices … Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Regulatory Requirements: Managing Up & Down the Supply Chain”
Large corporations are increasingly scrutinized by the public for their impact beyond direct operations, along with receiving ESG-related supplier requests. There are various international and national ESG regulations, such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), the Supplier Code of Conduct and Due Diligence Act (SCDDA), and multiple California laws. This raises the question of how to prepare for compliance within your supply chains.

“Best Practices in Water Management … Insights into Indiana’s New Industrial Stormwater General Permit (ISGP) and Strategies for Compliance”
Indiana's new Industrial Stormwater General Permit (ISGP) goes into effect soon. What's in the new permit -- stricter requirements for sampling, pollutant benchmarks, inspections, and corrective actions; “subsectors" based on industry SIC codes, which will create different requirements for different industries; and revised stormwater pollution prevention plan (SWPPP) requirements, monitoring requirements and procedures. The new ISGP follows the framework of the 2021 Multi-Sector General Permit (MSGP) from the U.S. EPA.
