Auditing and Assessing for Compliance
KERAMIDA will conduct on-site health and safety evaluations of operations that include observations, interviews of employees, and documentation review. Findings are identified in order of severity as either regulatory or best management practices and summarized in a gap analysis report with corrective actions.
Development of Policies, Programs, and Procedures
KERAMIDA will evaluate and revise, as needed, all existing health and safety policies, programs, and procedures. If no documentation exists, a determination will be made on what is required and then developed in accordance with the appropriate OSHA standards.
H&S programs or plans that may be required depending on applicability include:
Emergency Action
Fire Prevention
Energy Control
Permit-Required Confined Space
Respiratory Protection
Hearing Conservation
Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Control
Hazard Communication
Other recommended programs that can be developed may include but are not limited to: powered industrial vehicles, crane and hoists, personal protective equipment, general electrical safety, walking-working surfaces, and fall protection.
Health & Safety Training
Instructional material will be developed by KERAMIDA on various health and safety topics including the required and recommended programs as well as the following:
Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER)
OSHA 10-hour and 30-hour
Department of Transportation (DOT) Hazardous Materials
Our experienced trainers will provide the courses either in an on-site classroom setting or online format depending on the chosen topic. Each course will require a test to be taken for confirmation of comprehension, upon which each participant will receive a certificate of completion.
Establishment of Safety Management Systems
KERAMIDA will develop and implement safety management systems as needed for the affected company in accordance with OSHA and industry best practices to reduce or eliminate risk. Such systems might include behavior-based safety, utilization of hazard controls, and integration of the human factor.
Emergency Response and Crisis Planning
KERAMIDA will first complete an on-site assessment to identify impact areas and associated risks specific to the affected company. Types of risk may include but not be limited to fire, inclement weather, tornados, earthquakes, flooding, bomb threats, power outages, workplace violence and/or active shooter events, and pandemics.
Based on the findings, KERAMIDA will develop a comprehensive Emergency Response and Crisis Plan that provides awareness of the potential risks as well as protocol for preparedness, response measures, and business continuity. Some areas of specific emphasis include evacuation procedures, critical operations, employee accountability, roles and responsibilities, informative resources, and emergency notification systems.
Lastly, KERAMIDA will provide on-site instruction to employees for effective utilization of the Emergency Response and Crisis Plan. This training is generally completed in the form of drills, tabletop exercises, and lectures.
Environmental, Health and Safety Solutions
KERAMIDA provides solutions for other types of health and safety concerns including:
Developing lockout/tagout procedures and posting them on the affected equipment.
Evaluating confined spaces to determine which are permit-required, completing permit space inventories, and posting the required signage.
Performing industrial hygiene services that include personal and area air monitoring, combustible hazardous dust analysis, respirable silica dust analysis, and noise surveys.
