GHG Footprint of WasteMedX Medical Waste Ozone Treatment Technology

WasteMedX utilizes Ozone treatment technology, a simple, easy-to-use system, and seamless transport process to provide a safe, more affordable medical waste disposal solution that reduces greenhouse gas emissions.
KERAMIDA calculated the GHG footprint of WasteMedX’s cutting-edge, medical waste shredder and disinfection system for medical waste management. The GHG footprint was subsequently compared to traditional methods of medical waste treatment such as incineration, autoclaving, microwaving, and chemical treatment options.
KERAMIDA’s calculations showed that WasteMedX’s shredding technology reduced GHG emissions by 20-50% compared to competing methods. The deliverable was a report to be used by the client to be presented to local hospitals for marketing purposes. WasteMedX also published KERAMIDA’s calculations table below on their website to illustrate the GHG benefit of using the new technology.
