GHG Inventories & The Cool Farm Tool for Trinitas Farming, California

Trinitas Farming, LLC is a leader in the farm services industry and oversees world-class agricultural properties. Headquartered in the heart of California's Central Valley, they offer a full range of farm management and agricultural business services to their members. Trinitas’ farms and associated businesses are diverse in size and owned by a mixture of local families, employees, and investors.
KERAMIDA utilized The Cool Farm Tool, an online greenhouse gas, water, and biodiversity calculator for farmers, to calculate the GHG emissions inventory for five of Trinitas' farms, all located in California. KERAMIDA assisted subject matter experts to collect data on fuel usage, and fertilizer and pesticide practices for consideration in the GHG calculations. KERAMIDA evaluated various documents such as almond field data, ranch maps, harvest maps, and asset lists for GHG quantification. KERAMIDA confirmed the results of The Cool Farm Tool by doing the calculations independently using relevant and approved emission factors.
KERAMIDA supported Trinitas Farming in completing its sustainability questionnaire as part of the Food Sustainability Assessment program certification process.
