Greenhouse Gas Reduction Plan for Athletes Unlimited
Project Details:
KERAMIDA developed a Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Reduction Program for Athlete’s Unlimited (AU), a women’s professional sports league consisting of basketball, lacrosse, softball, and volleyball. The GHG Reduction Program began with a GHG Reduction Plan, outlining emissions sources and evaluating specific yet feasible reduction initiatives.
Additionally, after the determination of reduction strategies, KERAMIDA developed a corresponding Stakeholder Engagement Plan. This entailed engaging, building awareness, and educating AU’s stakeholders on sustainability topics and reduction strategies developed in the GHG Reduction Plan.
KERAMIDA’s proposed reduction strategies were broken down into short-term, medium-term, and long-term strategies while projecting emissions until 2030. KERAMIDA evaluated emissions on a per-fan basis while estimating total capital costs and the price per reduction ($ / MT CO2e reduced).
