Scope 3 Emissions Inventory for National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM)

KERAMIDA conducted the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine’s (NASEM) inaugural Scope 3 GHG emissions inventory.
KERAMIDA began the project by engaging with NASEM internal stakeholders to educate them on GHG reporting requirements in accordance with the EPA GHG Reporting guidelines and GHG Protocol standards. KERAMIDA then worked closely with NASEM stakeholders to identify relevant emissions sources to NASEM, available data collection type, and a plan of action to collect such data within the project timeline. KERAMIDA facilitated the entire data collection process with NASEM stakeholders and was closely engaged in identifying the appropriate data sources and subject matter experts to incorporate in the process.
A thorough benchmarking analysis of similar organizations was also conducted to evaluate GHG reporting practices and calculation methodologies.
Deliverables included the GHG emissions inventory results, calculation workbook, an inventory management plan highlighting data improvement opportunities, and a final presentation to NASEM group of stakeholders.
