Sustainability Research on Green Manufacturing with Technikon, LLC

In 2000, Dr. Keramida, CEO & Founder of KERAMIDA, formed a sister company, Technikon LLC, a sustainability research and development company in California, which served the green manufacturing needs of the U.S. Department of Defense. Technikon, whose major clients included the U.S. DOD and U.S. car manufacturers, focused its sustainability research on green manufacturing to eliminate toxic air pollution from heavy manufacturing operations, as well as on validation of Biomass-to-Energy processes.
Technikon successfully completed its U.S. DOD research portfolio in 2011, making its research program, at that time, the longest-funded research DOD initiative in recent years. Technikon’s sustainability research results on material substitutions and emission factors are still used and relied upon today by industry and the U.S. EPA. Technikon, LLC became the not-for-profit Technikon, Inc. in 2011.
