We’re excited to announce that Arkansas Steel Associates, LLC (ASA) is now GSCC-certified, with their base year Corporate Average Steel Emissions Intensity (CASEI), product certification and Science-Based Emissions Targets (SBET) officially verified and approved.
As the independent verifier, KERAMIDA, Inc. is proud to support ASA’s bold climate leadership through transparent, science-based verification. This milestone not only recognizes ASA’s commitment to sustainability but also underscores our shared vision of a low-carbon steel future.
Highlights:
Verified by KERAMIDA using a 2023 baseline CASEI of 0.70 metric tons CO₂e per ton of hot-rolled steel
Targeting 0.60 by 2030 and 0.12 by 2050, aligned with the Steel Climate Standard and the Paris Agreement
Certified by the Global Steel Climate Council (GSCC) — a globally recognized, rigorous standard for steel sector decarbonization
