KERAMIDA Facilitates West Michigan Climate Action Public Engagement Sessions
/Earlier this month, the Grand Valley Metropolitan Council (GVMC), West Michigan Sustainable Business Forum, and KERAMIDA collaborated to host three significant public engagement sessions. These West Michigan Climate Action Forums are instrumental in shaping the West Michigan Climate Action Plan, supported by the US Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Climate Pollution Reduction Grants (CPRG) Program.
Residents, leaders, and stakeholders actively contributed ideas and strategies during these sessions, all aimed at reducing greenhouse gases in the West Michigan region. The ultimate goal is to foster a more sustainable and resilient community. The plan's scope spans the four-county region of West Michigan, including Ionia, Kent, Montcalm, and Ottawa Counties.
The unique insights from all who participated are crucial to the development of a plan that truly represents the diverse needs, concerns, and aspirations of Western Michigan's vibrant communities. A heartfelt thank you to all attendees whose participation made these engagement sessions possible! We extend our gratitude to the US EPA for their invaluable funding and guidance, which has been crucial throughout this process.
